Leading up to Election Day Justice Bradley, in the face of ongoing ethics complaints, continues to keep a photo on her Facebook page that shows a shameful lack of integrity on her part. In the photo, a Dane County employee, a sheriff, illegally uses taxpayer-funded equipment to endorse her candidacy. The sheriff, in uniform, in front of his car with the word “sheriff” partially showing, shakes Justice Bradley’s hand. A complaint has been filed with the Dane County Ethics Board against the sheriff for this attempt to influence the election using the property of the sheriff’s office.

The use of this photo is an example that Bradley believes she is above the law.  The Wisconsin Judicial Commission’s Code of Judicial Conduct (SCR 60.03) states, “A judge shall avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety in all of the judge’s activities.” It continues, “A judge shall respect and comply with the law and shall act at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary.”  Her actions in this instance fail this test.

The Republican Party of Dane County asks that Judge Bradley apologize to the public for the illegal use of taxpayer resources to influence the election, remove the photo of the sheriff and county equipment from her Facebook page, and stop airing her ad featuring the same.
