Tony Kurtz was elected to the Wisconsin State Legislature in 2018, and represents the 50th Assembly District (located between Madison and LaCrosse). He serves as the Vice Chair of the Committee on Health, and is also a member of the Speaker's Task Force on Suicide Prevention and the Speaker's Task Force on Water Quality, along with other committees.
State Representative Kurtz is a veteran of the United States Army, and served in the military as an attack helicopter pilot. Prior to being elected to the legislature, he also worked in the office of Senator Ron Johnson, and is the former Chairman of the Republican Party of Crawford County. Representative Kurtz and his wife live in western Wisconsin, where they own a farm in Wonewoc.
