Ted Nickel, Commissioner of Insurance for the State of Wisconsin, will doing a presentation on the Future of Health Insurance in Wisconsin.

Governor Scott Walker appointed Ted Nickel as Commissioner of Insurance for the State of Wisconsin on January 3, 2011. The Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) regulates the business of insurance in Wisconsin. OCI is responsible for examining industry financial solvency and market conduct, licensing agents, reviewing policy forms for compliance with state legislation, investigating consumer complaints and providing consumer information. In addition to its regulatory duties, OCI administers the Injured Patients and Families Compensation Fund, Local Government Property Insurance Fund, and State Life Insurance Fund. As Commissioner, he serves as the final adjudicator of all OCI administrative actions, vice co-chairs the Governor's Financial Literacy Council, and serves on the Wisconsin Retirement Board.
